(Tickseed) Perennial, hybrid of a North American native. Heat/drought tolerant when established; height: 14-16”; spread: 15-18” after two years. Narrow elongated leaves sage to medium green, edged with cream variegation; composite (aster family) flower; disk flowers and ray flowers bright gold, inside portion of ray flowers maroon to red. Blooms early summer and intermittently until early fall. Deadhead for more consistent rebloom and to keep plant tidy. Hardy to -10 degrees F, attracts pollinators.
